Metal Red Lace Guppy (1 m/1 F)

Metal Red Lace Guppy Pair (One Male/One Female) requires at least a 10g tank and is very tolerant of changing tank conditions. Plants should be hardy varieties such as Java Fern and Java Moss that can handle the increased hardness in the tank. Other peaceful fish would make good tank mates. These are the short body version. Metal red Lace guppies display a sheer, web-like pattern on the tail. This pattern resembles the Mosaic one, with lines being very thin and looking almost like a maze. The males are smaller in size, have brighter coloration, along with a bigger tail fin, and pointed anal fin.  The females are larger in size with a duller coloration,  have a rounded anal fin, as well as a pregnancy patch (gravid sport) on the lower portion of the body.

Environment

Ideally, the environment should have a covering of floating plants like moss, riccia, or guppy grass "Naja grass" or a place to hide and protect the fry. The fry should be fed fresh baby brine shrimp, micro food, and pulverized flakes. Guppies do well with a wide range of PH and temperature. I suggest 7+ PH and maintaining a temperature of at least 74f, but not exceeding 82f. The Guppy is an omnivore and requires both algae-based foods as well as meaty foods. An algae-based flake food, along with freeze-dried blood worms, and brine shrimp will provide guppies with the proper nutrition.
