I am offering a single pair of Japanese Blue with lower sword tail gene Guppies. These Japanese Blue Guppy Fish are another unusual breeding opportunity for a serious Guppy enthusiast as they can throw some very unusual offspring. This pair are very young and as you can see the male is extremely colorful with a lot of growing left to do. Guppies are prolific breeders and once your pair is established in its new aquarium you should expect regular spawnings. Males are generally smaller in size with bright coloration and pronounced fins, females will be larger with duller coloration.
Japanese Blue Guppy with lower swordtail Gene Pair (1 Male and 1 Female)
Japanese Blue Guppy with Lower Swordtail Gene requires at least a 10g tank, and is very tolerant of changing tank conditions. Plants should be hardy varieties such as Java Fern and Java Moss that can handle the increased hardness in the tank. Other peaceful fish would make good tank mates.
Japanese Blue Guppy, the males are smaller in size, have brighter coloration, along with a bigger tail fin, and pointed anal fin. The females are larger in size with a duller coloration, have a rounded anal fin, as well as a pregnancy patch on the lower portion of the body. Ideally, the environment should have a covering of floating plants or a place to hide protect the fry. The fry should be fed brine shrimp, micro food and pulverized flakes.
The Guppy is an omnivore and requires both algae-based foods as well as meaty foods. An algae-based flake food, along with freeze-dried blood worms, and brine shrimp will provide guppies with the proper nutrition.
